SVA works to strengthen diagnostic activities and preparedness by developing diagnostic methods and laboratory products.

Bacterial diagnostics, substrate products and cell culture media are mainly prepared for SVA´s own diagnostics. Blood products are produced from horses, cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits and poultry from SVA´s own swedish herds and flocks.

SVA also supplies the vaccines required in preventing disease.

From April 1, 2010 and forward, the SVA will no longer send the invoice for services and products to the owner of an animal. The invoice will be sent directly to the veteriarian/clinic that ordered the service.
